What is a Data Point?

In Metronome, a data point represents any significant event that occurs on your app. This includes:
  • Requests: Requests made to your app.
  • Loader or Action Calls: Depending on the request method, a loader or action call.
  • Page Views: When a webpage is viewed or refreshed.
  • Web Vitals: Metrics indicating website health and performance.
  • Errors: JavaScript errors or failed requests.

Clarification on Data Point Generation

Each initial user visit typically generates multiple data points:
  • One Request
  • One Loader/Action Call
  • Four Web Vitals Events
Subsequent visits may generate fewer data points, as some web vitals events might not be repeated.
